THURSDAY LIVE SESSION - NO MONEY KIDS

Thurs. 27th October 2022

NEW ALBUM " FACTORY"

From lo-fi rock to electronic blues, No Money Kids defies the norms and takes us on an electric road trip. Shabby motels, flashing neon lights, memories in the rear-view mirror, the duo rushes at high speed on a forgotten road hurtling down at night, the horizon in cinemascope. Inspired as much by The Kills, Beck, or Sparkelhorse, as by Junior Kimbrough and Robert Johnson, the Kids sculpt an addictive electro-blues, haunting and painful indie-pop tracks crossed by a raucous and vibrant rock, alternating dizzying ballads and garage anthems, with agressive guitars and electronic arrangements.

After 3 albums in 4 years, a multitude of placements in films and series, and a never-ending tour of nearly 300 concerts, put on hold by a global pandemic, No Money Kids is not content to stutter its art. The duo once again put their contagious sense of melody and rhythm to work for a new long-format, homemade, do-it-yourself, without detours or superfluity. Characters in pain, on the edge, in states of social and emotional instability, the Kids bring the marginalized and the forgotten to life in their lyrics.

Their new album “Factory” drives seismographs crazy, drawing its inspiration from the industrial universe and its vaporous factories, cathedrals of the modern world. Breaking the chains of production, the sound and sensory atmosphere takes root between the roar of sheet metal and the sparks of the welding station, where man and machine coexist. It seems that rock died the day it was put in a museum, the No Money Kids bring it back to life with electro-shock in their Factory, a veritable post-industrial western.
